I blushed. She blinked by surprise. Dammit, I let it slipped, but seeing her stare up at me so innocently, I couldn't restrain myself from blurring it out. I was so shocked at myself, it felt like I lost my breath.
"Hey," I heard her whisper to me.
I blushed harder when I turned back to her stunning face. Her caramel skin looked sweet enough to taste. "Y-yes?" I stuttered.
She just stared blankly at me, her expression unreadable. Then she smiled warmly. Her smile spread out so wide, all teeth were showing. The dimples on her cheeks adorned her face as well. It was like she was glowing brighter than the chandelier lights above our heads, out shining it. Oh, so breath taking, I thought. How I wish to possess the power of time, just to still her and watch her like this forever.
"Tell me again," she said.
I cleared my throat before swallowing. "Again?" I asked.
"Yeah. Tell me again."
I just stared at her for a while before breaking into a small smile. I reached out and place my hand on her cheek.
She closed her eyes, leaning her face against my warm touch. "Please?" she breathed with a hint of excitement escaping from her lips.
I chuckled at her cute plea as I leaned forward and placing my lips to her ear, whispering...
“We’re going to Metrocon this year.”
